High RNA Quality FFPE Tissue Blocks for Biomarker Discovery

Amsbio has expanded its range of high-quality FFPE tissues and controls specifically designed to support biomarker discovery, histopathology, translational research and assay development.

Although the tissue structure in FFPE samples is maintained for histological analysis, damage to the RNA incurred through the fixation, embedding, and storage processes advances with time and storage temperature. Sub-optimal tissue quality is one of the leading causes of misleading biomarker research.

Including normal adjacent tissues, special disease samples and over 30 types of human cancer tissues (including breast, lung, prostate, and adrenal cancers) the new Acepix range uses young tissue blocks (acquired within three years) stored via cold storage to preserve RNA, DNA, and protein.

These ethically sourced and strictly selected human FFPE tissue blocks provide great specimens for performing spatial analyses of biomarkers. The unmatched high molecular quality of these FFPE tissue samples provides scientists with the highest confidence in derived data quality.

Drawing upon decades of experience, Amsbio provides an extensive collection of frozen and paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human and animal tissue samples from normal and many diseased tissue types. All FFPE tissue blocks are processed using standard clinical procedures, under Institutional Review Board (IRB) approved protocols. Each tissue sample is pathologically verified and quality assessed by a board-licensed pathologist before being shipped with donor demographics and clinical details.
