Vivanti and Bioveritas Partners join forces to strengthen how Medical Affairs teams apply evidence

Senior pharmaceutical expertise meets AI-supported practice, helping leaders identify gaps in scientific judgement that knowledge scores alone may miss.

The question every Medical Affairs leader should be asking

Your teams have completed the training and passed the knowledge checks. But when a KOL challenges their interpretation of the primary endpoint, or a payer asks what the data does not show, will they respond accurately, with balance and without overstating the evidence?

Completion rates and knowledge checks alone cannot answer that question. Knowing the findings and applying them appropriately in a demanding scientific conversation are different capabilities.

That gap matters. An overstated conclusion can create compliance exposure. Difficulty explaining a study’s limitations can undermine scientific credibility. Without visibility into these weaknesses, leaders can struggle to direct coaching and training investment where it is needed most.

Vivanti and Bioveritas Partners have formed a partnership to help address that gap, combining expert scientific judgement with opportunities to practise, receive feedback and demonstrate development.

Scientific expertise, put into practice

Bioveritas Partners brings senior medical, scientific and compliance expertise. Co-founder Dr Arunesh Sil is a specialist pharmaceutical physician and ENT surgeon with 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience and 16 years of clinical experience. Co-founder Rod Grundy is a medical signatory and qualified UK pharmacist with experience spanning compliance, commercial operations and launch strategy.

Vivanti brings pharmaceutical understanding alongside the technology. Founded in 2012 by pharmaceutical executives and IT professionals, it combines in-house medical expertise with AI and digital development, with more than 5,000 projects across 200+ medical brands.

Vivanti’s AVA Trainer connects knowledge building, presentation practice, simulated HCP and KOL conversations, coaching and development insights in one environment.

Together, the companies connect expertise in what good scientific exchange looks like with a repeatable way for teams to practise and develop it.

“Knowing the evidence and applying it well are different capabilities”, said Dr Arunesh Sil, Co-founder, Bioveritas Partners. “This partnership brings scientific expertise into the design of realistic practice, helping teams develop how they interpret findings, explain limitations and respond to challenge”.

How it works

Every engagement starts with one question: what does the team need to be able to do with the evidence?

Using the client’s approved scientific materials as the basis for learning and practice, teams can:

  • Benchmark their understanding to identify the studies and topics requiring attention
  • Focus learning on specific gaps, rather than repeat the same training for everyone
  • Practise presentations, simulated HCP and KOL conversations, and responses to scientific challenge
  • Receive feedback against client-defined criteria, informed by Bioveritas Partners expertise, covering interpretation, balance, treatment of limitations and recognition of what the evidence does not support

For example, someone may recall a study’s results but struggle to explain their clinical relevance or respond when a KOL questions the conclusions. Practice can reveal whether the development need concerns knowledge, interpretation or communication, giving leaders a clearer basis for targeted coaching.

Expert-led practice, with client control

Medical and scientific expertise informs the content, scenarios and evaluation criteria. AVA provides the environment for learning, rehearsal and feedback.

Insights from practice support development discussions and coaching. Client teams can maintain and adapt their training content as new evidence and priorities emerge.

What leaders gain
  • Greater visibility into applied capability. See where teams need support interpreting evidence and handling scientific challenge.
  • More focused investment. Direct coaching and in-person training towards specific studies, topics and scenarios.
  • Preparation for new evidence. Connect publications and congress updates with targeted learning and practical rehearsal.
  • Sustainable development. Maintain and adapt training across roles, markets and languages, without relying on a vendor for every content change.

“Knowledge scores tell you what people remember. Leaders also need to understand how their teams use that knowledge”, said Marina Hickson, Managing Director, Vivanti. “By combining Bioveritas Partners scientific expertise with AVA Trainer, we can give teams more opportunities to practise and leaders clearer insights to guide development”.

Start with one use case

The partnership offers a focused starting point: a new publication, an upcoming congress or a launch-critical dataset. Define what the team needs to demonstrate, practise against agreed criteria and use the findings to guide further development.
