Despite making up over 25% of the UK economy – equating to over £600bn – the STEM sector hasn’t had a dedicated marketing awards scheme…until now.
A new awards scheme, which will celebrate outstanding communication campaigns and individual achievements for those working in the STEM Marketing sector, is open for entries.
The STEM Marketing Awards, run by Prolific North, will champion the exceptional work of B2B marketers working with organisations operating in STEM industries across the UK. The awards will acknowledge those who understand the unique challenges faced in the STEM sector and excel in communicating complex concepts and innovations to diverse audiences.
Final deadline for submissions is 13 September, and the awards ceremony takes place in Manchester, in November.
From ground-breaking digital campaigns to impactful sustainability initiatives, the categories recognise and celebrate a different facet of B2B STEM marketing. The awards provide an opportunity for specialist B2B marketing professionals to showcase their outstanding achievements working within the STEM sector.
By entering the STEM Marketing Awards, B2B marketing agencies and independent practitioners can get their work in front of a panel of industry-peers and position themselves as market leaders, which in turn can lead to new opportunities for business and industry-wide collaborations.
As well as showcasing exceptional marketing campaigns and achievements within the STEM fields, the awards aim to inspire the next generation of STEM marketeers. Furthermore, by fostering a community of innovation, the awards strive to create opportunities for networking and collaboration among STEM professionals.
Emma Degnan, Senior Marketing Campaign Specialist EMEA Region at Thermo Fisher and one of the judges for the inaugural STEM Marketing Awards, said, “The awards will encourage innovation and excellence in marketing professionals working in the STEM sector. They will also highlight the breadth of careers available across STEM as well as promoting continuous learning, further emphasising the importance of skills development within these rapidly evolving fields.
“A priority of the awards is to recognise impactful innovation, showcase creativity combined with technical fluency, and inspire marketing professionals within the field.”
Alexandra Balasz, Managing Director at Prolific North, added: “We’re excited to be pioneering the first marketing awards dedicated to the STEM sector. Award entries will be judged by industry experts who have been selected for their knowledge and track record in one or more STEM disciplines, helping to bring invaluable experience in evaluating submissions and further elevate the prestige of winning an award.”
