NIHR (National Institute for Health Research) has recognised Odin Vision as one of the companies to benefit from its new funding stream which accelerates the testing of cutting-edge AI technologies in the NHS.

The AI tools and products are the first projects funded by the AI in Health and Care Award and will receive a share of funding totalling over £50 million. The funding forms part of the NHS Artificial Intelligence Lab and the award is managed by the Accelerated Access Collaborative in partnership with NHSX and NIHR.

Odin Vision’s technology assists doctors in detecting and characterising cancerous and pre-cancerous polyps during colonoscopy procedures. It has previously received support from the UCL Technology Fund (UCLTF) and was also one of the first UCL spinouts to stem from Portico Ventures, a commercialisation model which aims to give UCL researchers more freedom to take their ideas to market through spinouts.
